Nigeria youngster, Kelechi Nwakali, has taken to social media to confirm his move to English giants, Arsenal.
Nwakali, 17, was voted tournament’s best player when Nigeria won a record fifth FIFA U-17 World Cup in Chile last year.
He is joined at the Emirates by teammate, Samuel Chukwueze, 16, who scored three goals at the tourney.
“Happy I made it. Now the work begins,” Nwakali wrote on his Facebook page.
Pictures of the pair alongside Arsenal coach, Arsene Wenger and former Nigeria skipper, Kanu Nwankwo, surfaced on Friday evening.
“They are progressing well. I expect them to be done this month,” Wenger said about his newest assets on Friday.
“There are, of course, work permit issues, medical issues, but it is progressing well.
“We identified Nwakali after he won player of the tournament, he is a top player. We will see if we can manage to get it over the line.”
