Amara Kanu, wife of former Super Eagles captain, Nwankwo Kanu, has prepared a local dish known as moin-moin with the help of her daughter.

The 33-year-old shared a video on Instagram on Wednesday of the two of them in the kitchen.

“Vibing in the kitchen with my lil helper #pinkykanu…,” she wrote.

The fitness trainer also listed the ingredients needed to prepare the popular Nigerian delicacy, adding: “For a yummier taste, it is best to wrap it in banana leaves.”

This delicacy is made from ground white bean paste. With red bell peppers, onions, salt, mackerel fish, cray fish, thyme, curry, nutmeg, vegtable oil, and hot pepper to taste. Blend and mix all together. . For a yummier taste, it is best to wrap it in banana leaves. If you don't have the leaves, oh well 🤷🏽‍♀️ you can use foil paper plates. . Place the leave in your left palm flat down and then roll from left to right as if you were making a cone shape. Then fold the bottom of the leave upwards once. this gives it a secure base for your bean paste. Tip 🔔 make sure you have the right scoop to pour the paste in the wrap to avoid momumental mess 😄 A deep rounded scooping spoon or measuring cup will do. . Once all wrapped up nicely, ensure the pot always has water at the base to allow the steam to do the cooking. Cook for 45 minutes on medium heat. . 1-2 wraps is ideal for serving / per person.
