On-air personality Mariam Amuda aka MaryGold is awaiting confirmation from Guinness World Record (GWR) after attempting a 100-hour television talk show.
Amuda began the show tagged ‘Pep Talk with MaryGold’ on December 16 and concluded on Wednesday evening.
The exercise was held at No 1, Taiwo Odekunle Street, off Coker Street, College Road, Ogba, Lagos.
Amuda hosted 100 guests on the talk show including comic star Mr. Macaroni, actors Lanre Adediwura, Seun Akindele, Azeez Omotayo, and Damola Olatunji; child saxophonist, Temilayo Abodunrin; and Big Brother Naija star, Adeoluwa Okusaga aka Saga.

The current record for the longest marathon television talk show is held by NOVA24TV, hosted by Boris Tomai from September 24 to 27, 2023, in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
Amuda said she added seven more hours to the 100 hours.
“Just successfully completed the official attempt of the Guinness world records for the longest marathon television Talkshow. Thank u all,” she wrote on Instagram.
“This moment is proof that with dedication, hard work and God on your side, you can achieve absolutely anything you put your mind to! Don’t give up, don’t give in! The sky is only the beginning.”
Amuda joins the growing list of Nigerians who have attempted to set new world records since the beginning of 2023.
