On-air personality and actor Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, better known as Nedu, has confirmed that he has remarried five years after he and his first wife Uzoamaka Ohiri separated.
The 41-year-old disclosed this in the latest episode of the Offair Show.
He, however, did not reveal the identity of his new wife or when the marriage took place.
“I am married. My second marriage. My first marriage ended, obviously, it’s everywhere on the internet.
“My first marriage didn’t end because I cheated. I’m not going to talk about why it ended because it’s my private life. I’m not going to talk about it,” Nedu said.
In August 2023, the comedian in an interview with MTV Base said he suffered anxiety attacks in 2017/2018 because of the marital challenges he was going through.
“Getting off my first marriage, it was the most difficult period in my life. The funny thing is, it was 2017/2018, I was going through hell, but nobody knew.
“You know how it is when you are taking a walk, and your heart is skipping for no just reason. I was under anxiety attacks. But guess what? I was doing comedy skits and posting daily. But I was going through hell.
“Yes, I have healed fully from that situation, 150 per cent. The person that healed me does not even know she was the one that healed me. I healed even before I left the marriage because if you are not healed, you can’t move on. So, I got to a point where I was healed a bit, and then I moved on and then totally got healed much later,” he said.
Nedu got separated from Uzoamaka, in 2018 after accusing her of paternity fraud.
