Elegushi of Ikateland Oba Saheed Elegushi has penned a note on Instagram in celebration of his ‘brother’ the Oniru of Iru Kingdom Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal.
Oba Lawal turned 53 on Monday. He listed five prayer requests in a social media post, noting that he was grateful for life.
Oba Elegushi wished his colleague happiness and the fulfilment of all his wishes.
He said, “Today is the oldest you have been, and the youngest you will ever be. I wish you all the happiness that comes with your special day and the fulfilment of all your wishes for the years to come.
“I appreciate your brotherly love and friendship. Happy birthday, my brother @hrmoniru. Igba odun, odun kan ni.”

Oba Lawal became the 15th Oniru of Iruland on June 7, 2020, after the death of Oba Idowu Oniru (Akiogun II) in September 2019.
Prior to his enthronement, he was the commissioner for agriculture in Lagos State.
