Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Obafemi Hamzat, has confronted traffic violators driving from Carter Bridge to Mile 2 axis of the state.
Mr Hamzat said in a tweet on Thursday that he was on his way to deliver a lecture at the Lagos State University (LASU) when his convoy was faced with unusual traffic at the time.
He added that after close observation it was discovered that motorists were violating traffic rules.
The deputy governor shared pictures of his encounter with the motorists on Twitter.
He urged Lagosians to abide by traffic rules.
“I was on my way to deliver a lecture at @LASUoffical when we were faced with what seemed like unusual traffic at that time,” he wrote.
“On a closer check, we discovered road users going against traffic from Carter Bridge down to Mile 2 axis. Let’s not cause more traffic with disorder.”
The governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, had also confronted traffic violators shortly after his inauguration in May.
