Lagos State Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat on Sunday led a team to London, UK on a visit to former Lagos governor who is now national leader of the All Progressives Congress Bola Tinubu.
Tinubu has been in London for some time as he is reportedly recovering from a knee surgery.
Among Mr Hamzat’s entourage was Tayo Ayinde chief of staff of Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Mr Sanwo-Olu had himself visited Tinubu long before now. According to him, he visited the former Senator to confirm his state of health.
Tinubu’s media aide Tunde Rahman, meanwhile, had debunked speculations that the APC leader went under the knife.
Tinubu, who is reportedly considering a presidential bid in 2023, has received top personalities as he continues recovering in London. President Muhammadu Buhari had visited him while he was about returning to Nigeria following an education summit in the UK.
Former AMCON chairman Muiz Banire and Senator Kashim Shettima had also visited Tinubu.
