Former Minister of State for Defence, Musiliu Obanikoro, has announced the death of his mother, Wasilat Obanikoro, which occurred in the early hours of Saturday.
The former chairman of the Lagos Island Local Government Area announced the passing in a series of tweets.
Popularly known as Iya Lati, the deceased was aged 95.
The former petty trader will be buried at 2pm at Ikoyi Cemetery, Lagos, in accordance with Islam rites after prayers at her residence in Barnabas Gemade Estate, Lagos Island.
