Obasanjo hosts Atiku, Jonathan, Ooni of Ife, others at 88th birthday dinner

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has hosted a star-studded dinner in Lagos to mark his 88th birthday, bringing together political heavyweights, business moguls and royalty.

The event, held at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, on Sunday, was attended by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and his wife Patience, Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi and former Sierra Leonean leader Ernest Bai Koroma.

Also present were former Senate President Bukola Saraki and his wife Toyin, Anambra State Governor Chukwuma Soludo, and billionaire businessman Razaq Okoya.

Notable figures from the business and entertainment sectors, including Obi Cubana, E-Money, Cubana Chief Priest, Vintage and musician KCee, graced the occasion.

Economic policy expert Obiageli Ezekwesili was also in attendance.

The dinner was one of several events held in Lagos and Abeokuta to celebrate Obasanjo’s milestone. Guests made grand entrances, with moments from the gathering widely shared on social media.

Atiku and Saraki acknowledged the event online, with the latter describing it as a prelude to the main birthday festivities.

Sharing photos from the night, Atiku wrote, “I joined others at the dinner hosted by my former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, in Lagos. -AA.”
