Fuji musician Abass Akande, popularly known as Obesere and Omo Rapala, has expressed his condolences to his colleague Wasiu Ayinde also known as K1 de Ultimate, following the death of K1’s mother, Halima Anifowoshe.
K1 announced the death of his 105-year-old mother on Instagram on Saturday, sharing a heartfelt post alongside a photo of them together.
He captioned the post, “Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi Raji’un. RIP Mama.”
Fans and celebrities flooded the comment section with messages of support for the grieving musician.
On Tuesday, Obesere took to Instagram to share his sympathy.
In a post titled “Warmest Condolences,” he consoled K1, describing the late matriarch as a loving and devoted mother whose virtues were evident in her children.
“Her good natured, godliness and devotion to Allah reflects in her children with Kwam 1 being a clear confirmation of her great and godly virtues,” he wrote.
He encouraged K1 to take solace in the belief that his mother has gone to rest in Allah’s bosom and prayed for her forgiveness and eternal peace.
This loss comes shortly after another tragedy for K1, as one of his wives, Hafsat Anifowoshe passed away last Tuesday following an undisclosed illness.
