It was an all-white affair at the 60th birthday celebration of veteran actor Kanayo O. Kanayo as notable guests like presidential aspirant Kingsley Moghalu, socialite Obi Cubana, actor Victor Osuagwu, veteran singer Zaaki Azzay, Big Brother Naija winner Haze Onou popularly known as Whitemoney and comedian Stanley Chibunna better known as Funny Bone showed up rocking their best outfits.
The star-studded event was held on Sunday, May 29 at the Muson Centre Onikan, Lagos State.
Highlights of the event included the two ‘triumphant’ entries of the birthday boy, clad in all-white attire. In the second ‘appearance’, Kanayo wore a bowler hat, while the second time, he went for a traditional red cap worn by chiefs in Igboland.
Another highlight of the event was the after-party where the actor came alive with the hit song ‘Dorime’ by Ameno with creative and theatrical displays by the performers.
He was later joined by his children on stage in to cut the birthday cake in a session anchored by popular comedian, Ayo Makun, aka AY.
Appreciating God for sparing his life to witness the day, the actor also thanked his family and friends for the support they have given him over the years.
The actor also launched a foundation named, ‘The Kanayo O Kanayo Foundation’ at the event.
Other celebrities who graced the event include Ngozi Nwosu, Kingsley Ogbonna aka Dauda, Alexx Ekubo and gospel singer Chinyere Udoma.
Kanayo turned 60 on March 1.
