Billionaire businessman Obi Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, has revealed plans for his upcoming 50th birthday celebration, with a strong emphasis on giving back to society.
In an Instagram post shared on Tuesday, the 49-year-old showcased a fleet of 50 tricycles and 50 vehicles, all of which will be distributed as part of his birthday empowerment initiative.
According to Obi Cubana, the gifts will directly impact 100 individuals.
The video also featured footage of cows, hinting at the scale of festivities expected during the celebration.
However, beyond the lavish celebration, Obi Cubana emphasised the deeper purpose of the event, uplifting lives.
“Quite emotional at this point! Just woke up this morning feeling so happy and grateful to God for making me an instrument for change!
“At least 100 people’s lives would NEVER be the same again, for the better! This is the highest point and the most satisfying part of this my 50th birthday celebration,” he wrote in the post’s caption.
He went on to stress the importance of remembering the vulnerable in society, stating, “While we merry and party, we must NEVER forget the less privileged and vulnerable amongst us!”
Obi Cubana also expressed gratitude to the partners and collaborators who contributed to the empowerment initiative, praying for blessings on everyone who donated materials to support the cause.
In February, as part of his 50th birthday celebrations, Obi Cubana launched the Golden Age with Gold Bar campaign in partnership with Gold Bar Whiskey.
This initiative includes a 50-day countdown featuring exclusive giveaways such as a luxury Gold Bar-branded car and a N2 million logo design competition aimed at engaging fans and supporters.
In another surprise moment, on March 6, he was gifted 50 tricycles by his younger brother and business partner.
According to him, he was still in bed when he received the call that two trucks loaded with the tricycles were being delivered to his home.
Obi Cubana will officially celebrate his 50th birthday on April 12, 2024.
