Ebele Iyiegbu, wife of socialite Obi Iyiegbu aka Obi Cubana, on Tuesday sent her husband a message of support following his arrest on Monday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Obi Cubana, who as of press time was still in the custody of the EFCC, is being questioned on alleged money laundering and tax evasion.
In an Instagram post, Mrs Iyiegbu described her husband as a hardworking and resilient man.
“A man with a heart of Diamond. Nwoke ike! Odogwu m! We love you and we are solidly behind you. Even Jesus went through something worse than this so no stress,” she wrote.
Mrs Iyiegbu prayed for her husband saying, “The grace is overwhelming and it’s overflowing. God himself raised you. Again, I repeat…‘Whom God has blessed, no man can curse’ because he’s gonna turn everything around (the good, the bad and the ugly) for your good.”
Obi Cubana took his wife to the Maldives shortly after making headlines in July for hosting a lavish funeral for his mother in Anambra.
