Governor Willie Obiano has been removed as chairman Board of Trustees Chairman (BoT) of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).
Bianca Ojukwu, wife of the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu, and others were also removed as member of the BoT.
The removal of the BoT members was announced on Tuesday in Awka during APGA’s National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, which followed the expiration of the four-year term of the board.
APGA has, meanwhile, picked May 31 as date for it’s national convention at the Prof Dora Akunyili Women Development Centre in Awka, Anambra State.
New BOT members are to be nominated ahead of the convention for ratification, national secretary of the party, Labaran Maku, said.
Ward and local government congresses of the party will hold on May 19 and 21.
State and zonal congresses are to take place on May 23.
Addressing NEC meeting, Obiano assured of the readiness of the party’s National Assembly members elect to support the President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government in achieving its development agenda.
