Ebele Obiano, the wife of the former governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has been captured in a viral video shared on Thursday clashing with a fellow passenger on an airplane.
The video shows Ebele engaged in a tense argument with a fellow passenger aboard an airplane.
Ebele was on a queue and about to sit down when she started arguing with a passenger, a male Caucasian, after he told her to ‘get out.’
In the video, Ebele can be heard arguing over seating arrangements, saying, “Are you crazy? This is where I’m sitting. So you let me go first.
“No, I’m not going to get out of here. Who the hell do you think you are? If you want me to go front… Nonsense. What is all this?”
The exact cause of the dispute remains unclear at this time.
Eyewitnesses claimed that her husband, former Governor Obiano, was also on the flight but chose not to intervene.
Calm was eventually restored as she eventually sat down.
The incident has generated lots of reactions on social media, with some people praising her for standing up for her rights, while others accused her of acting in an unprofessional manner.
This is not the first time Ebele Obiano has been involved in a public altercation.
In March 2022, she and Bianca Ojukwu, widow of the late Biafran leader Odumegwu Ojukwu, engaged in a physical clash at the inauguration of Charles Soludo as governor of Anambra State.
Ebele allegedly walked up to Bianca and made accusatory remarks, leading to a slap from Bianca and a scuffle between the two women.
Security personnel and dignitaries at the event intervened and separated them. Ebele was escorted back to her husband’s seat, and shortly after, the Obianos left the venue.
The altercation sparked widespread reactions, with some condemning Ebele for instigating the incident and others commending Bianca for defending herself. The event overshadowed Soludo’s inauguration and remains one of the most talked-about moments in Anambra politics.
