The Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, has described the death of the Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi, as coming at a time when the deceased was most needed to contribute his quota to nation building.
In a statement issued in Lagos and signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Musbau Rasak, the Obasa described the former minister’s death, alongside with his wife and son as a huge loss to the country.
“His death came at a time he was needed to contribute to nation building as well as to the change agenda of the All Progressives Congress (APC) government at the federal level. But we will always take solace in the fact that he lived a fulfilled life and spent his years on earth working for the growth and development of the nation,” the Speaker said.
Obasa expressed condolence with the family of the deceased, President Muhammadu Buhari, APC and Nigerians in general.
“We should take this as the wish of the Almighty God and we have no power to question His authority. I pray God to give us all the fortitude to bear the huge loss,” the Lagos Assembly Speaker said.
