Nigeria striker, Odion Ighalo, lost his father, Paul, hours after losing an FA Cup clash at Wembley on Sunday.
The Watford star posted a blank picture in all-black on Twitter with the words “R.I.P. Daddy” after learning of his father’s death overnight.

Ighalo, who fired a late chance narrowly over the top in the Hornets’ 2-1 FA Cup semi-final defeat by Crystal Palace, confirmed: “I lost my father in the early hours of today.
“It is a very painful loss.”
The 26-year-old, whose 16 goals this season fired Watford to Premier League safety, has told the club he intends to play on for the rest of the season, subject to funeral arrangements for his father back home in Lagos.
“The season is almost over, and it might be a while before all the funeral arrangements are complete, so although I will continue to stay in close contact with my family over there, I will be here with my club until then,” he said.
