Super Eagles forward, Odion Ighalo, was in buoyant mood when he stormed Changchun Yatai training ground on Friday.
The 28-year-old posted a photo of himself undergoing the day’s drill on Instagram.
Ighalo and his teammates are still on cloud nine after winning only their third game of the 2017 Chinese Super League (CSL) season.
Yatai stunned struggling Jiangsu Suning 1-0 on the road, Sunday, thanks to Yang Boyu’s own goal.
The victory lifted the modest side to 14th on the log with 13 points.
Certainly, Ighalo’s team are very much inspired ahead of another away trip, this time to Chongqing Dang on Saturday.
The 28-year-old forward will be aiming to end his miserable barren spell in front of goal.
Ighalo has scored just two goals since moving to the Development Area Stadium in January.
His appalling streak stretches back to his final season in the Premier League for Watford, where he scored just once in 17 games.
But the seasons before, the Nigerian consistently hit the target for fun for the Hornets.
He notched 20 in the 2015/16 season and struck three fewer the next, which attracted the interest of some of the biggest sides in Europe.
However, Ighalo isn’t the only Nigerian presently struggling in the Asian nation.
The likes of Obafemi Martins and Brown Ideye haven’t had the best of seasons thus far.
Both will most likely be in action for Shanghai Shenhua and Tianjin TEDA respectively this weekend.
