Actor Odunlade Adekola has expressed excitement over his new movie Orisa which according to him raked in N27.6m in one week.
The movie star, via his Instagram page on Monday, gave thanks to God for helping him achieve the feat.
Odunlade bragged that Orisa is now the highest-grossing Nollywood opening film of 2023 and the biggest epic opening of 2023.
The 46-year-old appreciated his colleagues for their support. He also thanked the cast and crew for their roles.
“Thank you my wonderful people in all the cinemas. The cast and the crew of this wonderful Movie. Orisa the movie. Thank you so much. Despite the heavy rain since Friday!!! Glory be to God and thank you. And also special thanks to all my colleagues for your support. Ese gan ooooo,” he wrote.

The movie premiered on Sunday, July 16 at the Circle Mall, Jakande, Lekki, Lagos.
The likes of Iyabo Ojo, Shaffy Bello, Toyin Abraham, Eniola Ajao, Nkechi Blessing, Mercy Aigbe, Mo Bimpe and Lateef Adedimeji were present.
