Actor Odunlade Adekola has entertained fans with an amusing attempt to stay calm while promoting his latest movie Lakatabu.

Posted on Instagram on Friday, the video showcases Odunlade in a relaxed setting that resembles a living room, adorned with promotional items for the film, including a mug, shirt, and face cap.

Odunlade began the video with a composed demeanour, saying, “I really want to be calm this morning.” He continued by recounting how hectic his schedule has been in the past few weeks, tirelessly promoting Lakatabu.

“For the past few weeks, I’ve been moving around, jumping, dancing, shouting, telling you people that my movie Lakatabu would be in all cinemas today, June 21, 2024. Thank God we are alive today to see this wonderful movie, thank you,” he said.

Encouraging fans to visit cinemas, Odunlade highlighted the presence of “wonderful actors” who will make the movie experience even more enjoyable. “You will enjoy this wonderful movie with them today,” he added, maintaining his calm tone.

However, Odunlade’s calmness didn’t last long. As he revealed his plan to visit a cinema in Ibadan, his excitement overtook him. He suddenly began shouting, singing, and enthusiastically promoting the film in Yoruba, exclaiming, “And I said I wanted to be calm.”

The video takes a humorous turn as Odunlade laughs and energetically markets his movie, eventually trying to return to his calm state. “I really want to be calm today, I really want to be calm. Mofe calm,” he said, laughing.

Earlier this month, Odunlade and fellow actor Adedimeji Lateef released a hilarious promotional video together, further building anticipation for Lakatabu.

The movie premiered at Filmhouse Cinema, Lekki on June 16.
