Ogun House of Assembly on Wednesday held a special session in honour of its former Deputy Speaker late Adetokunbo Oshin.
A valedictory session for the departed was held during plenary in Abeokuta on Wednesday.
Speaker Oludaisi Elemide described Oshin as a man of honour and integrity.
“The late former deputy speaker will be remembered for his legislative prowess,” he said.
The speaker explained that Oshin lived a fulfilled life, describing him as a leader of repute and the state had lost a real gem in his death.
Other lawmakers, who spoke during the special plenary for the late former lawmaker, described him as a fearless, dogged and committed human being who served the state meritoriously.
They added that the current set of state legislators had lost a leader, a political tactician and one of the greatest the hallowed chamber ever produced.
Fasiu Bakene, a member of the fifth and sixth assembly, stated that Oshin was a committed legislator during his time and a man of tradition.
“He believed in the House of Assembly doing things rightly and always put the government of the day on its toes,” he said.
