Ogun State House of Assembly committee on local government and chieftaincy affairs has threatened to order the arrest of Nollywood actor Goriola Hassan for parading himself as Oba of Imobi.
A statement was released by the committee chairman on Tuesday stating that Goriola would be arrested if he fails to appear before the committee on August 12 following his alleged claim to the stool of Imobi-Ijebu.
“Failure to honor the invitation would result in the issuance of an arrest warrant to all invitees, especially Goriola Hassan, who failed to honor an earlier invitation extended to him by the Assembly,” the statement read.
Goriola is to appear before the House committee with all the 36 baales (local chiefs) under the community.
Meanwhile, the committee has ordered him to stop parading himself as a traditional ruler in Imobi.
