Mabel Okungbowa, first wife of the late music producer, singer and songwriter, OJB Jezreel, on Wednesday wrote a touching tribute to her husband as she celebrated her birthday.
In a message posted on Facebook, Mabel wrote: “First time in 24 years without you Jigga my Nigga by mine side doing what you do best praying for me. Jigga I miss you so much but most of all am grateful to God that you were in my life and you will always be. This is what you would have said to me today Mama J. God bless you Happy Birthday my love.”
OJB passed away on Tuesday June, 14, 2016 following complications reported to have arisen from kidney ailment.
He had undergone a kidney transplant in India in 2013.
Mabel, popularly known as Mama J, donated one of her kidneys for the surgery.
OJB was buried on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Ikoyi Cemetery, Ikoyi.
He is survived by two other wives, June Okungbowa and Korede Okungbowa.
He had eight children from his three wives.
