Former minister of finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, has met the governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, in New York, United States.
The duo met on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) holding in the US.

Mrs Okonjo-Iweala, who recently announced the death of her father, the Obi of Ogwashi-Uku, Prof. Chukuka Okonjo, shared a picture of her meeting with Mr Ihedioha on Friday on Twitter.
She said they discussed economic opportunities, challenges, and investments in Imo.

“Discussing Imo State economic opportunities, challenges and investments with HE Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State and his dynamic staff at the margins of UNGA New York,” she wrote.
President Muhammadu Buhari is also attending the UNGA.
