The immediate past governor of Delta State, Emmanuel Uduaghan, has described the 61st birthday of his successor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as “a different one”.
Mr Okowa and his family are in isolation and receiving treatment for coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a tweet on Wednesday, Mr Uduaghan wished Okowa recovery from the disease.
“I join your family, our dear state and your well-wishers around the world in wishing you a happy birthday!
“This birthday is a different one especially as you and your family recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. Good health I pray you!” he said.
Okowa announced on July 1 that he and his wife, Edith, would be going into isolation after testing positive for the deadly virus.
One of their daughters had days earlier been confirmed positive.
