Indigenous rapper, Olamide, on Saturday released a brand new single titled ‘I Love Lagos’.
The new song which is not included in his recently released Eyan Mayweather album, is promotional project for Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State.
Directed by Unlimited L.A ‘I love Lagos’ video features Yoruba actor, Odunlade Adekola, as Olamide’s benefactor on a bus ride.
It oozes PR as it showcases the Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA), Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and Rapid Respond Squad (RRS) among others.
The video also shows beautiful shots of the city of Lagos from Ikorodu, Kosofe, Ikeja to Oshodi-Isolo local governments.
In all, it praises the Lagos State Government and with generous display of the facilities put in place to ensure orderliness in the state.
This video comes after reports that the Lagos State Government was involved in the resolution of the dispute between Olamide and Don Jazzy at the Headies last week.
A source close to the artiste informed QED that the government was embarrassed by Olamide’s behaviour at the award after the artiste had been signed on to do a PR project for Alausa.
