Three days after the release of his new album, Eyan Mayweather, Olamide has announced the death of his father.
The rapper on Thursday took to Instagram to make the announcement and pray for the soul of his dead dad.
He wrote: “O God, who hast commanded us to honor our father and our mother; in Thy mercy have pity on the soul of my father, and forgive his trespasses; and make me to see him again in the joy of everlasting brightness. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.? Rest well Dad.. Forever in my heart ❤️”
On Father’s Day 2014, the 26-year-old sent out a hilarious message to his dad where he wrote “All the money wey I dey scam my papa to spend on music hustle no waste.. Now we blessed.. Happy father’s day to my number 1 maga.. Thanks for falling for all my leg over and the format wey I dey throw you”
On the track ‘Anifowoshe’, he also rapped about how his father struggled hard just to put food on the table for his family.
Baddo, as the artiste is famously called, was born Olamide Adedeji in Bariga, Lagos State, South-West Nigeria.
