Olori Ashley Folasade, one of the wives of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has expressed her deep love for the monarch, sharing what makes their relationship special.

In a post on Instagram on Tuesday, Queen Ashley shared heartwarming pictures of herself and her husband to mark the beginning of the new month.

She highlighted several qualities that have endeared the king to her, including his sense of humor, unwavering love and constant support.

“My husband @ooniadimulaife is my greatest blessing, my source of joy, and the love of my life. Every single day, he fills my world with kindness, laughter, and unwavering love.

“His gentle heart, his patience, and his ability to lift me up when I need it most make me realize just how lucky I am to have him by my side.

Queen Ashley and the Ooni welcomed their first child, a baby boy, in September 2024.

Reflecting on their journey, she revealed that they faced challenges in their relationship, including the heartbreaking loss of twins the previous year, but expressed gratitude for their triumph over adversity.

The Ooni of Ife took Queen Ashley as his fourth wife in October 2023, fulfilling a long-held dream for her, as she had been a longtime companion of the monarch before their marriage.

The royal wedding, held in Ile-Ife, was attended by dignitaries from across the country.
