The Olota of Ota Oba Adeyemi Obalanlege on Friday clocked 54.
The respected monarch was 52 when he succeeded the late Olota Oba Alani Oyede who joined his ancestors on May 25, 2016, after 19 years on the throne.
Celebrating the monarch, Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun prayed on Twitter that the Olota would live long in good health among others.
“This is wishing the Ọlọ́tà of Ọ̀tà, Ọba (Prof.) Adéyẹmí Abdulkabir Ọbalánlẹ́gẹ́, Your Royal Highness, Lánlẹ́gẹ́ Ẹkùn II, Àrólé Ìgánmọdẹ a Happy 54th Birthday,” he wrote.
“May God bless Alaiyeluwa on this day, with abundant grace to live the coming years in peace, good health, prosperity and more wisdom.”
Oba Obalanlege was a former staff of ThisDay and a lecturer at Crescent University, Abeokuta.
He is from Ijemo-Odolosi Ruling House.
