The family of actor Olu Jacobs has released a video on social media to debunk the latest rumour of his death.
In the 19-second video, Olu is seen getting his beard shaved while his son informs him about the rumour of his death. The 82-year-old appeared surprised about the rumour.
His son then says the actor would be heading to Ikoyi Club so the general public can see he is “out and about”.
Earlier Soji Jacobs, son of the veteran actor, debunked the rumour that his father was dead.
The younger Jacobs spoke to QEDNG publisher Olumide Iyanda on the phone on Sunday as the false news of his father’s death was trending on social media.
According to Soji, “The family is tired of this rumour that keeps recurring every year.”
He added that he spoke with the publisher of one of the blogs that started the rumour on Sunday and the person dropped the phone as soon as he realised who he was talking to.
“We have been getting calls from all over the world from people who want to confirm if the story is true. My mum is on the phone right now answering multiple calls. This is annoying,” Soji further told the QEDNG publisher.
