Veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, and filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, on Tuesday described the late broadcaster, Tunde Oloyede as a quintessential artiste that was well respected in the entertainment industry during his lifetime.
They spoke in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Lagos.
Jacobs said,“ It is very sad that Tunde Oloyede is dead. He was a great artiste, well respected during his life.
“He was a man who enjoyed helping others; very caring and a good family man. May his soul rest in perfect peace.”
Kelani described the late Oloyede as a gem, a professional to the core.
“He was a brother, friend and professional colleague. He was a gem, a good listener, a professional to the core.
“The whole of the entertainment industry will miss him every day,” Kelani said.
Oloyede died on Monday at his home in Festac Town, Lagos. He was 70.
He was a former President of Independent Television Producers Association of Nigeria (ITPAN), producer and director of the popular, now defunct, television drama series The Village Headmaster as well as Tightrope amongst several others.
Until his death, he was managing his own production outfit, Media International Production in Surulere, Lagos.
