The newly-elected Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas on Sunday paid a visit to the first lady Oluremi Tinubu in Abuja.
Abbas was accompanied by the Deputy Speaker, Benjamin Kalu.
They were elected last week following an agreement by the ruling party and opposition parties.
Abbas, in a statement issued by his special adviser on media and publicity, Musa Krishi, said the overwhelming mandate given to him by members of the House would spur him to work with every member to achieve a Nigeria that every citizen desires.
Mrs Tinubu was a member of the ninth Senate. She attended the valedictory service of the ninth Senate alongside Vice President Kashim Shettima who was also a member of the Senate before his election.
