The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on the Muslim faithful in Nigeria to use the 2025 Ramadan period to show love and pray for the country.

Mrs Tinubu made the call in a message issued on Friday in Abuja as Muslims worldwide prepared to mark the beginning of the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“May this blessed month of Ramadan bring you and your family peace, joy and spiritual fulfillment.

“Let us remember our nation in prayers for peace and prosperity during this holy month of fasting and prayers.

“Please, extend love and kindness to your neighbours this season, especially those in need.

“May Almighty Allah accept all our supplications, forgive all our sins and answer all our prayers. Ramadan Kareem,” she said.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that her husband, President Bola Tinubu, had earlier wished the Muslim faithful in Nigeria and worldwide good health, spiritual fulfillment and divine blessings as they began the sacred month of Ramadan.

In a statement he personally signed, the President said: “We are profoundly grateful to Almighty Allah for granting us the grace to witness the commencement of this holy month, a cornerstone of the Islamic faith”.
