Oluwo of Iwoland Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi has expressed joy over the emergence of Premium Times editor-in-chief Musikilu Mojeed as president of the International Press Institute (IPI), Nigeria chapter.
The monarch, in a statement by his press secretary Alli Ibrahim, prayed that Iwo sons and daughters would keep moving to higher heights.
Mr Mojeed, an indigene of Iwo in Osun State, became IPI president at the institute’s general assembly last week in Abuja.
“I congratulate Mr. Musikilu Mojeed on his emergence as the President of International Press Institute (IPI). I have no doubt in his ability to effectively administer the union and further strengthen objective journalism not only in Nigeria but the world at large,” Oluwo said.
“He is a symbol of the parrots, upright and truthful. No one could have better be placed in such a position than a man of integrity. Once again, I congratulate you and seek for a wisdom greater than that of Solomon to constructively administer the institute.
“Iwo sons and daughters shall continue to prosper, promoted and elevated at every advantage. My best wishes to my illustrious son, Musikilu Mojeed.”
