Oluwo of Iwoland Abdulrasheed Akanbi on Friday posted to Instagram photos and videos of his outing with his new wife, Queen Firdaus.
“Arole Olodumare number one. Alase Lori Orisa number one in all Yorubaland !! Emperor Telu1 and Queen Firdaus of Iwoland @hrh_firdau” the monarch captioned the posts.
The couple got married last month. Queen Firdaus is the granddaughter of the late emir of Kano, Alhaji Ado Bayero. She is the niece of the Emir of Kano Aminu Ado Bayero.
Oba Akanbi, who became the Oluwo of Iwo in November 2015, at 48, married his first wife Chanel Chin, a Jamaican, shortly after he was enthroned.
According to the monarch, the union which produced a son named Oduduwa, ended due to irreconcilable differences.
