Super Eagles stars, Kenneth Omeruo and Ola Aina, are set to leave Chelsea after failing to make an impression at Stamford Bridge.
The duo have spent the past season on loan at Leganes and Torino respectively and rumours are circling that they could turn their temporary stints into permanent stays with their loan clubs apparently willing to exercise ‘buy-out’ clauses in any loan deal.
Omeruo could remain in La Liga with Leganes, who are ready to discuss terms on a permanent stay once the 25-year-old returns from African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt.
The defender is reportedly keen on staying in Madrid where he has proved over the course of the 2018/2019 season that he can cut it in one of Europe’s top five leagues, having already spent time in the Netherlands, Turkey and the Championship in England.
Omeruo has entered the final year of his contract with Chelsea, meaning ex-Southampton boss, Mauricio Pellegrino, might well get his wish of keeping hold of the full-back turned centre-back.
Fellow international, Ola Aina, could remain with Torino, who are preparing a £9m bid for the 22-year-old wing-back.
