A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has led others in the call for Leah Sharibu’s rescue as she clocks 16 in Boko Haram captivity.
Sharibu, a Christian, was among 110 students of Government Girls Science and Technical Secondary School, Dapchi, kidnapped on February 19, 2018.
But while all the other girls were released, Sharibu has been held back since then for refusing to denounce her Christian faith.
In a video posted on Twitter on Tuesday, comedian Bovi and Senators Ben Murray-Bruce and Ali Ndume joined Omokri in the call for her rescue.
They prayed that Sharibu would celebrate her 17th birthday in her hometown in the company of her loved ones.
Other Nigerians have joined in the call for Sharibu’s release.
