Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, has celebrated her 41st birthday with special recognition from the Los Angeles City Council.
She was recognized for her contribution to filmmaking under the “Blacks in Cinema,” campaign by the City Hall of the American city.
The excited actress announced the achievement in a series of pictures and videos posted on Instagram on Thursday.
“Thank You #CityofLosAngeles for this Amazing Recognition and … Happy Birthday to Me. 😁🎊❤🎊💋.
“There are New frontiers to Cross , don’t over think it , Get up , Go. Make History,” she wrote.
Veteran actress, Stephanie Okereke Linus, was also recognized by the Los Angeles City Council for her film, DRY.
Since her Nollwood film debut in 1995, Omotola has appeared in over 300 films
In June 2018, Omotola was invited to join the voting process of the prestigious Oscar Award.
