Recording artiste, Captain E, has revealed that his mother, Nollywood actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde, encouraged him to work on the lyrics to his song, ‘Craze’ about fifteen times before getting it right.
The 21-year-old, made this known on Twitter on Wednesday.
“Fun fact: I had to rewrite ‘craze’ about 15 times before the final version,” he tweeted.
When a fan with username @heirnxt, asked if he had been tempted to quit, Captain E replied that he had wanted to but his mother did not let him.
“I want to oh…@Realomosexy didn’t let me,” he wrote.
The award-wining actress then joined the conversation and commended him for nailing the Yoruba lyrics at the end of the song.
She replied, “Yep. No quitters here. You did well nailing the Yoruba in the end.”
Omotola and Captain shared a joke on Instagram on May 21 after she shared a scene from the 2002 movie, True Love, in which her character jumped into the lagoon after finding out that her lover, Ramsey Nouah, was marrying someone else.
Captain E wondered why the actress didn’t just swim to safety instead of drowning.
“I have a question can’t she swim?” he asked.
Omotola replied, “You have no respect.”
