Actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has announced she has wrapped up filming her next movie.
The 46-year-old made the announcement in a recent post on her Instagram story in which she revealed that she also directed two of the movies and features in one.
Although Omotola did not disclose details about the films she is directing, she gave a shout-out to filmmakers for their dedication and hard work.
As she wrapped up filming, the actress wrote on her Instagram story: “And finally, It’s a wrap!! What an experience! I can now sleep for more than two hours a night! Just did my first 8 hours of sleep this month.”
In another post, she added: “Jeeez! I’ve missed so much that has happened! Catchin’ up and I’m like! New found respect for back-to-back Filmmakers! Ep and directing 2 films back to back and acting in one and I feel I need 6 months of spa, 3 months of therapy and 1 month of rehabilitation! Don’t know where to start catching up from. Going back to sleep.”
Omotola began her acting career in 1995 in the film Venom of Justice, directed by Reginald Ebere.
In 2015, she celebrated her 20th anniversary in the entertainment industry, having appeared in over two hundred films.
Her portrayal of Adora Igwe in Alter Ego earned her an award for the best actress in a lead role category at the AMVCA 2018.
The film is written by Jude Martins and directed by Moses Inwang.
