Ondo State House of Assembly has suspended the deputy speaker, Irioju Ogundeji, and another member of the House, Adewale Williams.
Both lawmakers were suspended on Wednesday for alleged unruly behaviour.
They were among the nine lawmakers that kicked against impeachment move against Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.
Mr Ajayi was served impeachment notice on Tuesday after he left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Meanwhile, the majority leader of the assembly, Jamiu Maito, has resigned.
His resignation letter was read by the clerk of the House, Bode Adeyelu, during Wednesday’s plenary.
