Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, has terminated with immediate effect the appointment of Allen Sowore as Special Assistant on New Media to Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi.
Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Olusegun Ajiboye, announced this in a release on Tuesday.
Mr Sowore was accused of recording and circulating the viral video showing the state’s Commissioner of Police, Bolaji Salami, stopping the deputy governor from leaving the governor’s office.
“Mr Sowore is advised to submit all government’s properties in his possession to the Chief of Staff to the Governor,” the statement said.
Ajayi has since fallen out with Akeredolu, culminating in his departure from the All Progressives Congress (APC) over the weekend.
He, however, maintains that he remains the deputy governor of the state.
