Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, and ousted Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ondo State, Jimoh Ibrahim, have resumed their hostility following Rotimi Akeredolu’s victory at the polls.
The two men had initially engaged in a bitter fight on social media following Ibrahim’s sack by the Appeal Court on Wednesday.
Fani-Kayode accused the businessman of betraying the party by joining the Ali Modu-Sheriff faction while Ibrahim called the former minister a hungry politician available to the highest bidder.
With Akeredolu within touching distance of victory, Ibrahim fired a shot at the PDP candidate in the election, Eyitayo Jegede, saying he lost because Fani-Kayode supported him.
I had no doubt that Jegede would lose as Femi Fani-Kayode was supporting him. If you want to win any election, pay Femi not to support you.

Not one to keep quiet in the face of provocation, Fani-Kayode replied Ibrahim, calling him a Judas who sold his party for money.
The biggest Judas in Nigerian politics today is Jimoh Ibrahim. He sold his party for money. He lives like Judas and he will end like Judas.

Ibrahim had on Saturday congratulated Akeredolu as governor-elect and taken a swipe at incumbent Governor Olusegun Mimiko.
He wrote: “My dear egbon. Congratulations. I have computed the results sent to me from 2907 wards by my party agents across Ondo State. It shows you are leading with unrecoverable margin. I congratulate you as governor-elect of our lovely state. I will advise you quickly maintain distance from Mimiko if you want to succeed.
“I have no doubt that you will urgently create hope for our people; kindly do whatever you can to assist your lovely civil servants. I saw poverty in those villages I visited during campaign. Please kindly assist traditional rulers as much as you can.”
Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) was officially declared governor-elect on Sunday.
