Long after critics had written him off, veteran singer, Daddy Showkey, Tuesday released a new song titled ‘One Day’.
The Phat Beatz production is an inspirational message from the former Ghetto Soldier that listeners should keep hope alive because “one day, your star go shine”.
Born John Asiemo, Daddy Showkey emerged from Ajegunle, Lagos in the 90s and was hugely popular for his Galala music.
The 46-year-old scored his biggest hit with the ghetto-inspired track, ‘Dyna’.
He is currently signed to Lion Clan Records and is managed by Plantashun Entertainment Management Company.
The former amateur boxer, gymnast and bus conductor signed an endorsement deal with MultiChoice Nigeria in 2015.
