Reggae musician and chairman of the Musical Copyright Society Nigeria (MCSN), Orits Wiliki, also known as Koolman Revolutionaire, has marked 30 years of marriage to his singer wife Rebecca Orits-Wiliki, popularly known as Becky.

The 65-year-old took to his Facebook page on Sunday to celebrate the milestone, sharing heartfelt messages and posts.

In one post, Orits shared a song by Becky featuring Yinka Davies, accompanied by the caption, “After sharing one roof, one love, one heart, one soul for 30 years, ‘nobod go solo.’

“This is all I have to say to you in this song, Rebecca. It’s our Wedding Anniversary! Family, please celebrate with us by sharing this song. To God be all glory given.”

He followed with a picture of himself and Becky writing, “30 years today like yesterday and still counting. God, your grace is sufficient for us. Happy Wedding Anniversary to us.”

Another post featured the couple in matching attire with the message, “We are no champions of any sort lest we boast. It is simply Jehovah’s grace. Happy 30 years Wedding Anniversary to us.”

He added in yet another post: “One roof, one heart, one soul. Jehovah, you are the reason. Happy 30 years anniversary to us.”

In a 2016 interview, Becky revealed that she had been a secret admirer of Orits before they met.

Orits described her as his best friend and “kid sister,” adding, “I was lucky that I married my mother’s last born.”

The couple first met during a professional audition for backup singers.

Orits recalled, “I called for an audition for backup female singers, and she was one of them that turned up. So, you can understand what it was like, strictly business.”

Their relationship blossomed and they tied the knot three years later. The traditional wedding was followed by a white wedding the next year.

Married in 1994, Orits and Becky have two children together.

Orits Wiliki gained prominence with his 1989 record ‘Tribulation,’ followed by ‘Conqueror’ in 1990.

In 2022, he was re-elected as chairman of the general council (Board) of MCSN for a second three-year term.
