Chairman of Onigbongbo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State Babatunde Oke is dead.
Mr Oke died in the early hours of Wednesday.
Although, the two-term council chairman is said to have died from coronavirus complications, his chief press secretary Akerele Ismail denied it in a telephone conversation with PUNCH.
It was gathered that Oke had been sick for some time but seemed to have recovered, only for his health to relapse late last week.
Oke’s demise came barely two months after the death of the chairman of Agbado/Oke-Odo LCDA Augustine Arogundade.
Mr Arogundade was said to have died on June 2 of coronavirus-related complications.
