Oniru of Iru Kingdom Oba Abdulwasiu Lawal on Monday celebrated his 53rd birthday with stunning photos.
In one of the photos posted on Instagram, the monarch is seen in a stylish white suit, a black bow tie, a black hat and a black pair of trousers.
As is his custom, Oba Lawal listed five prayer requests, noting that he was grateful for life.
“In gratitude to the Almighty and with a deep sense of reflection, I say Alhamdulillah for another year!” he began.
“Gratitude for life, for loved ones, for Iru Kingdom, for blessings, for great achievements and even the little things.
“Reflection on the journey so far, the many roads not taken, the hurdles crossed, challenges surmounted, the storms weathered, the impact made and felt; and the path that has led up to this very point on this journey to excellence.”
Oba Lawal listed his prayer request thus: “A request for peace in Iru Kingdom, Lagos, Nigeria, Africa and in the world.
“Grace to live long in good health and abundance to touch more lives.
