The suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, has arrived at the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for his arraignment over allegations of non-declaration of assets.
Onnoghen arrived in a convoy of no less than five vehicles at 9:40 am on Friday before proceedings began.
As at the time of filing
The Danladi Umar-led CCT had on Wednesday ordered the Inspector General of Police and the Director General of the Department of State Security to arrest Onnoghen and ensure that he is present for trial on Friday.
The suspended CJN was said to have avoided arrest by reaching an agreement with security operatives to voluntarily show up for proceedings.
