Super Eagles rookie, Henry Onyekuru, is still surprised by the reported interest of Europe’s top clubs in his services.
Onyekuru, 19, has been linked with a host of the continent’s mega teams including Barcelona and Manchester United.
The ex-Eupen forward, on loan at Anderlecht from Everton, is currently top of the goalscoring charts in Belguim with eight strikes.
And his impressive performances each week for his club hasn’t gone unnoticed with the Nigerian allegedly on the wishlist of several teams.
“There is no real secret, I have a strong faith in God and he has blessed me to be able to do what I love and I’m just focused on improving myself, working hard and staying dedicated,” the youngster was quoted by AOIFootball on Monday.
“It’s a blessing to be recognized by these clubs and of course, it’s flattering but I take everything one step at a time; focus on what’s in front of me and for the next few months- that is Anderlecht.”
Onyekuru was on target at the weekend for Anderlecht as they defeated Lokeren 2-1.
“It was a difficult match for us but I am happy we were able to win and I also got on the scoresheet,” he revealed.
“I hope to continue scoring more goals for Anderlecht and hopefully, win a trophy or two in the season.”
