Former minister of aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has called on the Ooduwa to rescue the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, from jail.
Mr Sowore is in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) on charges of treasonable felony.

Mr Fani-Kayode, who recently renounced the name ‘Yoruba’, wrote on Twitter on Tuesday evening that Ooduwa people should rescue Sowore just like the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, was bailed out by Igbo leaders in 2017 after being charged for treasonable felony.
“If Igbo political leaders could come together and meet the onerous bail conditions to get @MaziNnamdiKanu out of jail why can’t Ooduwa political leaders do the same for @YeleSowore? What is wrong with us? Where are our Senators, Governors and elders! Surely we can do better!” he wrote.
Shortly after being granted bail in April 2017, Kanu went missing after soldiers invaded his house in Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State.
The IPOB leader only resurfaced about a year later (October 2018) in a viral online video showing him to be praying in Israel.
